Going double or nothing is perhaps one of the riskiest gambling moves some one can make, especially if you only have a small amount to bet. First and foremost you should never be gambling with money that you cannot afford to lose in the first place. Betting double or nothing is the practice of betting everything you have in order to win double, or walk away with nothing. This strategy should only be used by players that are experienced in the game they are playing, and you should never try to execute this technique if you do not have the cards and the skill to back it up. Bluffing and betting double or nothing is one of the riskiest things you can do in gambling, especially if you have a terrible hand.
Betting double or nothing because you are running out of time, have nothing better to do, or simply want a rush, are not good reason to employ this strategy. Double or nothing should be used when you are almost positive that you are going to win the round. For example, if you have two aces in poker and almost all of the royal card shave already been played, then you can feel relatively safe that you are going to win that round. Never go double or nothing if it is going to put you in the negative, as this would be more akin to double or negative.
