I’ve been out of the loop for the past few days……..had a lot of personal stuff going on. I broke up with the man I was engaged to and I’ve moved out……all in the space of a 24 hour period. It’s tough……painful and all that other stuff but sometimes you know that you have to move on and move out. I do believe that I’ve done the right thing and after some time, life will be much better and sweeter. It’s never good for anyone to be in a relationship that is controlling, smothering and on the verge of being abusive. Life is just too short. We should all strive for as much happiness and peace of mind as we can grab. If a relationship is destroying your soul….it’s time to move on.

Just when you think you’ve heard it all…….you get a rude awakening!  I’m talking about this thread over at Casinomeister discussing the slimy underhanded criminal thing this casino has done to a forum member. For a quick summary……Palace of Chance extorted money from a player in the guise of paying the player their winnings.  Yes I said extortion!

For those of you who play at Palace of Chance casino and the other casino’s in this group……you need to wake up and smell the coffee!  For the webmasters who promote this group……you also need to take a hard look at just what and who you are representing by promoting them.  RTG…..should take some responsibility in the licensing of a group who pulls such shenanigan’s as this.  Does RTG not care that they are being represented by the likes of scum like this?

I have more to say but right now my thoughts are just too scattered……

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out.  JTodd of the APCW,  who has been so vocal with supporting Gambling Wages with his videos and posts on his own forum and others……well this is your chance.

I’m going to venture a guess that there will be soon be a post from either JTodd or someone of that caliber stating that this lapse in judgement was done without the present managers  knowledge and that they are sorry that this happened and things of this nature will not happen again….

You might have noticed it in my posts over at CM or maybe my rant about rigged or so called rigged casino’s below this past weekend. I just got tired of reading the same old thread over and over from usually the same posters every other week of so and I’m most likely not the only one.  I’m not trying to mean or cruel…by pointing it out and it is real simple……as I said before, if you really think the particular place you are playing at is rigged…….then why do you continue throwing your money in there?   The missing sounds of money not falling……hurts them where it hurts the most, the bottom line!

Do I believe that they casino’s should employ someone to do an audit……..you bet and yes I do wonder why they don’t.   Is an independent audit not something that can be trusted?    Looks like they would take this step to  soothe a lot of players minds because there is always speculation and it would put some of that speculation to rest. 

Maybe it’s just been one of those times when I’m just not in the mood for the BS and that and a few other things got under my skin.   Anyone else relate to that?  You know how it is……..sometimes things just go right on by and doesn’t faze you in the least and then there are those other times when things just get under your skin and they burrow in and bite and generally just bug you till you just have to say something.  Usually I’m nice about…..or I try to be, most of the time I just don’t say the mean thoughts I might be thinking, but every once in a while that bitchy gambling girl comes out and she just can’t help herself.  JTodd and his informative video’s……and I say informative very loosely, well that is another one that sticks in my craw.    Last time he came over and posted a link to his gambling wages interview, he caught quite a bit of flack for it…….well what did he expect?   Gambling wages is scum……has been scum and most likely still are scum.    Then when he was faced with some tough questions and some critiques that stung or he felt got to personal…….he ran for the hills. Refused to come back and respond because of how he was personally attacked.  Oh give me a friggin break…..as my granny says, if you can’t take the heat, don’t stand in the kitchen!

Well now he is back again and it’s more about gambling wages, this is the deal they are offering……..they have offered to take one player and one webmaster to the office/headquarters and fix their issues.   One player……one webmaster out of thousands that have been screwed…..oh come on, is that supposed to prove their intent to clean up the mess?    Is there anyone out there that would be stupid enough to believe that proves anything other than the two who are wined and dined?    Oh in the video he was quick to point out how no one had taken him up on his challenge………..and that proves what JTodd?

I’d also like to know how someone reaches gold status on your APCW website and what exactly does gold status mean?   Yes I looked for the info on your site but couldn’t find it.      One would naturally assume that having gold status is a place of prestige, maybe even of honor, but we know that can’t be true with Gambling Wages being one of the programs that are in your gold status.  It sure would be nice to have an explanation for my questions regarding the gold status…..hint, hint!

OK……..it’s normal for everyone to bitch and moan from time to time after a particularly bad session and more than a few sessions of losing will tend to bring out the complaints in almost anyone………been there done that and I’m not saying that it is wrong to do that from time to time .

That scenario isn’t what I’m talking about.   I’m talking about those who continually whine, moan and groan about how they aren’t getting any features/bonus rounds nor good payouts and then the complaints progress on to this software seems rigged.  Well….for pete’s sake if you continually are finding yourself bitching and moaning again and again and stating that you think the software is rigged/cheating you, what the hell are you doing still playing????    It just amazes the hell out of me how some people repeat basically the same damn bitch and moan every two weeks!   Geez…..Get a grip!  If you honestly believe the games you are playing are rigged, then quit!

Well as you can see if you’ve been visiting that is……I’m trying out another theme, still not sure if this is the one or not.  I do like wordpress now that I’m getting used to it but finding the right theme has been a challenge and that isn’t even mentioning the issues with getting things to fit on the page as I’d like but I do have to say there is a huge selection of free themes available if you are considering going the wordpress route.  There are also several very nice premium themes that can be purchased.  Most of the premium themes give your webpage the look of a regular webpage vs the look of a blog.  My plan is to eventually use one of the premium themes as a template for my other site, Spin Those Slots.   Well that is enough of the boring stuff uh…..it’s time for a post about gambling, don’t you think? 

Anyone who knows me just the slightest, knows of my enthusiasm for music.  My collection is varied and from time to time I’ll feature one of my current faves in a post such as this one from Patty Griffin.

After hours and hours of trying to get this stinker (wordpress) installed……finally it’s working.   Only thing I can figure is my hosting company must have had issues with the database I was trying to use.

However I am not happy with the theme so expect some changes…….ahhh knowing me, probably several!   The more I look at this theme and probably several hundred others, well at least 100 and I’m not joking the less I like it. I do like the flexibility of wordpress but I’m still looking for that perfect theme. I found one I like……but it’s not free.

I don’t know about you but I have found that in my dealings with online casino’s that customer service is lacking more than in other traditional fields.  It is frustrating to say the least when you do not get the resolution of a issue that you seek.  I see post after post on forums about the lack of the most basics of customer service.  I can say that I’ve experienced more than my fair share of it myself.  One particular group really stands out in the sucks big time category in my experience with them.  Snafu after Snafu, repeated again and again.  One thing I’ve noticed with online casinos is that when you phone or email the big ones with a problem you tend to get canned responses and often they don’t even take the time to actually read the email that you’ve sent.    Yes I’m going to take this opportunity to plug my favorite Rival Casino and I’m not just saying that for the sake of a plug.  Every time I’ve been in contact with their customer service department it’s been handled quickly and very much to my satisfaction.  Some of the bigger Microgaming casino’s could take a few lessons from them.  The casino that I’m referring to is  Sloto’Cash.

There is an article posted over at Gambling911 that is an interesting read about Bodogs troubles with the recent crackdown on their payment processors. Gambling911 stated that Bodog laid off nearly 300 employees with more terminations likely in the coming weeks. According to the them, they are also having problems breaking into the European market. Forbes reported last month that the US Government seized $24 million from bank accounts linked to Bodog. That is a lot of big bucks!

First……I like to gamble, enjoy it when I’m winning, but I know that I have a depositing limit and my limit is low in comparison to some of the $$$ losses I’ve seen mentioned lately. It boogles my mind when I see some of these figures, well let me rephrase that, I mean losses, and yes I know that $100.00 to me is like 1K or even $10K is to those more affluent. Granted……people have the right to do whatever they want with their money because it is their money and their choice but when I see figures like 30K or 40K mentioned in a thread about losing. I’m thinking……….DAMN! I also can’t help but think……..if you really can afford to lose that kind of $’s why would you be crying about it in a public forum? And do let me make myself clear here, I’m not referring to the recent thread over at CM about the gambler who realized she had a big problem and went through a hell of a lot of money before realizing that she did indeed have a problem. I’m not going to point out the particular thread but this same poster is rarely on the forum but when they are……it’s always to talk about a huge (well it’s huge in my book) loss. So I have to wonder……..if you can really afford to lose that much, would you really be telling everyone in a public forum? Isn’t that indicative of a problem, the fact that they are moaning about losing that much? Me thinks it is……….
I would think if you had the $$’s to be a true high roller that you’d take it on the chin and go with the punches and suck it up, like I do….when I lose my $100.00.
Anyone else think along these lines?

It’s a serious subject and it’s been prompted by some comments by concerned members of the different forums who were genuinely concerned about a member who seems to have a problem of not knowing when to walk away.
Do Casino’s have a obligation and responsibility to limit deposits or ban the person?

If the casino continues to take deposits from someone that has posted publicly about having meltdowns, are they aiding a behavior that can potentially have very devastating consequences?

Compulsive gamblers have higher suicide rates than other forms of addition. In my opinion the casino does have a responsibility to not encourage destructive behavior, be it by cutting them off completely or limiting deposits.

I wanted to add to the comment left by anonymous. Yes I think it is a mistake to advise someone that they can limit deposits, cancel their card, etc., but on the other hand individuals are trying to help, not encourage even if the advise isn’t perfect. Also……it has been said several times that the best advise is to quit, not by the mods, but by others who have been there. As to the OP’s presence at CM…..as I’ve stated in the thread, it’s up to her. No one can make someone give up an addiction, be it gambling, booze or pills or whatever the vise is, so it’s not up to us to dictate as to if someone has a right to post on a particular forum or not.
